Amazing floral arrangements

Sometimes I wonder what could be more beautiful than a flower...or what can be even more beautiful than many of them perfectly assembled together. After all many designers get their inspiration from flowers such as color and or color combinations, structure etc. After all my jewelry line is inspire by all flora and fauna. Here are a couple of my favorites from www.eddieross.com

Using Picasa to brighten your photos

I never considered myself a particularly tech savvy person nor do I consider myself an expert photographer. I have been told and from what I read it is always best to shoot in natural light whenever possible more toward the late afternoon. Ok, got that but the problem was that my photos looked really dark and not particularly sharp.I believe in my work but when you are selling online the photos are what count. Great photos+ great product= sales. I hope this helps you take better photos, so that's why I share this with you.I am thrilled to have discovered/ stumbled upon the fill light tool on Picasa.

Sometimes brides think they have to wear simply a strand of pearls or maybe they opt for the budget friendly route of costume jewelry (gasp!) but here are a few options of what a bride can wear, that don't completely break the bank but still make the bride feel regal and elegant. All jewelry is from Floralina and can can be purchased for sell on my website. All pieces feature genuine freshwater baroque pearls, genuine moonstone, and 14K gold filled wire.

Trip to the Long Beach Farmer's Market

Today was my first time at the farmer's market here in Long Beach California near Belmont Shores. I was quite impressed at the selection and variety of fruits, vegetables, nuts, breads, and flowers. I picked up gorgeous heirloom tomatoes in shades ranging from purple to ruby red for $1.00/pound. I got a bunch because normally you see heirloom tomatoes in the grocery store for a lot more.By the way these tomatoes tasted delicious. They also had the most fragment fresh herbs: sage, rosemary, thyme, parsley, basil.I also couldn't resist the urge to buy some country red dahlias. These flowers immediately remind me of my Grandmother in Hungary who grows these in here garden. It's easy to get carried away at the market, but indeed it was an inspiring morning. Above are some of the pictures I took.

Photographs showcasing jewelry beautifully

I came across these gorgeous photographs www.jillthomasphotography.com/blog mainly bridal shoots. I am just drooling over the magnificent photography. Everything is absolutely perfect with these shoots…I mean everything!

Capturing an audience

I have started my jewelry line http://floralina.etsy.com on etsy this past January which comprises of handcrafted gemstone jewelry inspired by nature. The easy part is the designing and creating but the hard part has been trying to capture an audience. The site lets members create Treasuries which are basically curated shopping galleries and today my Treasury titled: "Si j'avais un appartement française" http://craftcult.com/vault_list.php?list=14387&page=&userid=&fm=0&esn=&m=0&d=0&st=1&pagenum=0 which translates to "If I had a french flat." It was featured on the front page of Etsy.Hooray, this is big exposure! I hope this will bring me more sales. Did I mention I am having a Harvest Moon Sale?
