Le collier Polémoine Bleue
This was truly a labor of love, and I am finally finished with it.
Warning not for the faint of heart. This necklace was made for the true pearl connoisseur. Introducing my latest and greatest: Le collier Polémoine Bleue
Composed of approximately 150 freshwater pearls. While curating all the materials for this piece I came across these gorgeous enormous exotic lilac freshwater baroque reborn pearls.I should mention these type of pearls are quite hard to find. These amazing luxe AAA quality pearls have a striking nacre, with a distinct lilac pink undertone which shows off hues of blues and purples off the surface. These are NOT dyed and have some natural shades of tarnish brown incorporated into the nacre. Surrounding these giant reborn pearls are clusters of coin, keshi, and numerous round baroque pearls. All in shades ranging from ivory, lilac, apricot, to ballet slipper pink. All wire is 14K gold filled as well as the delicate chain in the back. The clasp is made of 24k vermeil.I hope that the Polémoine Bleue will find its place with a woman who truly appreciates it.

Try them out with your hair in a romantic classic updo and just wait for all the oohs and ahhs when you enter the room. Absolute perfection for a wedding too.

Austro-Hungarian Jewelry
Antique Austro Hungarian Emerald Bracelet
Classic Austro Hungarian Citrine Bracelet
Austro-Hungarian Jewelry...what is it you say. I say it's amazing intricate gemstone jewelry from the late 19th early 20th century. I also love it because I am Austrian and Hungarian. You certainly can't find jewelry like this anymore.

Coral: Too Precious to Wear
I came across a site urging designers and people to not use real coral in their jewelry and home. Coral is an important resource and complex ecosystem in the ocean. It is actually an animal, so when you think of it in that term is kind of puts me off to using coral in my jewelry. This whole concept of coral being too precious to wear can be found on http://www.tooprecioustowear.org What do you think? Is coral too precious to wear?

I Live to Live
Inspirational watercolor art can be found at:
http://www.etsy.com/shop/thewheatfield
I am still trying to figure out if I am going into too many directions with my blog. But it's mine so I will treat this blog as a journal/ notebook for just beautiful things. I always used to be future driven, meaning I would postpone my happiness for later. I recently discovered self actualization and the only moment that is eternal is the present.
I have been carrying around folders and folders of magazine cutouts of interior, exteriors of homes, fashion, botanical thinking one day I will have a house and I will do x,y, z...I do have a home it's an apartment, but that doesn't mean I can't make it beautiful and start using these inspirations now. After all Jonathan Adler wrote a book titled: My Prescription for Anti-Depressive Living which by the way is a hilarious and genius concept. Beautiful surroundings can change your perspective. Your home should be your sanctuary, you should be glad to come home to it.In fact you should be happy to be living the life you have. LIVE TO LIVE!!!!

I believe I need to make a trip out for a Monday as they are only opened on Monday.C'est la vie

The Cutest Country Kitchen
I was recently at my local Barnes and Nobel when I started flipping through selvage magazine (by the way it is a fantastic magazine) and there was this beautiful feature on a women named Mary Cooper and her 200 year old home in New Orleans. What I love about this kitchen is the red pots and pans with the contrast of teal blue and the exposed shelving. My philosophy is if you can't see it you won't use it. This this such a charming kitchen.www.selvedge.org

Using Ribbon in Jewelry
www.floralina.etsy.com
www.jcrew.com
I have been seeing a lot of ribbon in jewelry lately from the tiny boutiques in the mall to online shops. Most feel jewelry has to be metal, but the juxtaposition of feminine satin or silk timed with bold masculine gemstones is quite lovely. I recently made a this necklace and was inspired by this j.crew creation.

Reborn Freshwater Pearl Necklace
I have been working on this piece forever it seems. I was inspired by these giant reborn freshwater pearls and the beautiful natural luster, color, and nacre they have. But let me tell you this has been a labor of love as I have used over 150 small freshwater pearls strung throughout. I think the end result is stunning. I have to start working on pricing and figure out how much I spent alone just on materials. This will be posted for sale on www.floralina.etsy.com soon.

Bark Wrapping
I just love this concept! If flowers are natural why use a generic vase or pot when you can wrap your container in tree bark such as birch. Above are the instructions. How chic!

Parisian Pâtisseries
Sometimes I think wouldn't be wonderful to own a little pastry shop with glass cases full of macaroons in all pastel hues and petite fruit tarts. But then it would be hard to have a bakers schedule they start they day when the rest of us are sleeping. Images are from http://laduree.fr/index_en.htm and http://www.sadaharuaoki.jp/

Beautiful Screenshots from Movies
Most people go to the movies for a good story, and sometimes a happy ending. Personally I get excited and inspired to see the beautiful set decoration and locations. Each shoot is truly art, and I assume so much thought goes into each shoot from the lighting, costumes, location, wardrobe, makeup, and jewelry. The above are from my favorites: An Education, Eat Pray Love, Inception, La Vie en Rose.
